Permitted use
Use CiteRep for legitimate website assessment, monitoring, client work, and research on public sites you own, manage, or have permission to assess.
Prohibited use
You must not use the service to:
- audit a website without a reasonable basis to believe you are authorised;
- access private networks, localhost, metadata services, non-public hosts, authenticated areas, or content protected by access controls;
- bypass robots controls, bot protection, paywalls, rate limits, or CAPTCHAs;
- scrape personal data, credentials, secrets, health information, financial information, or other sensitive material;
- conduct denial-of-service activity, vulnerability scanning, exploitation, malware delivery, phishing, credential testing, or social engineering;
- infringe intellectual property, privacy, confidentiality, or contractual rights;
- resell access, evade daily-report or paid-token controls, create accounts to obtain additional free allowances, or manipulate billing;
- use report output to make high-impact decisions about a person without appropriate human review and lawful authority; or
- use the service for unlawful, deceptive, or abusive activity.
Fair use and enforcement
Report scope, page limits, concurrency, and model calls are controlled by the token or subscription purchased. We may stop a crawl or suspend access where activity threatens another system, exceeds the selected scope, or breaches this policy. We may preserve relevant records and cooperate with lawful investigations.
